Where it’s always happy, because the nest is empty.

WELCOME

Hey there, Nesters — we made it. (Kind of!)

Summer’s finally here - which means we made it through the first phase of emptynesting! Our kids were in and out from August to May, and now they’re mostly all back full-time. But it’s still Happy Hour - even if the nest is full again! Way back at the beginning of the podcast we talked about how each step of this process is a kind of practice for when the kids finally move out completely. So far, it’s going fairly well, but we know there will always be hiccups along the way. We hope wherever you are in this journey it’s going well for you.

In any case, our goal is to have each other’s backs as we laugh, overshare and make midlife a whole lot more entertaining. So pour yourself a summer cocktail and let’s get back to what we do best- cheers!

PODCAST HIGHLIGHTS

The last couple of months brought a lot of ups and downs for Amy and Danielle - and we discussed it all. Here are just a few highlights, in case you missed an episode:

We discussed our winter book selection, Sandwich by Catherine Newman. If you are looking for a book that captures midlife - this is a good one! Don’t miss our discussion.

An emotional episode about pet grief, and then a hard change of topic into the history of pockets and red lipstick.

Our most scientific episode yet! Danielle and producer Aunt Lizzy host very special guest, Dr. Erica Herron, a pelvic floor physical therapist (and their sister), who breaks break down the stuff most women were never taught but really need to know.

Danielle starts her dream job, Amy rants about the SAVE Act and why name changes might mess with your right to vote (seriously), and we explore why rest isn’t lazy - it’s legendary.

Amy and Danielle sip a Power Spritz and dive into the bestselling book When Women Ran Fifth Avenue by Julie Satow. Plus, we get nostalgic about shopping in the '80s, college reunions, and what makes midlife style iconic.

Hear all about the chaos and celebration around graduation - and BEYONCÉ!!!
